Sevilla and Villarreal goals

Villarreal and Sevilla played out an entertaining 2-2 draw on Monday evening, with Sevilla twice coming from behind to equalise.

The home side started brightly and Paco Alcacer pounced on a rebound to put them into a lead 18 minutes in.

Although Villarreal looked comfortable, Sergio Escudero stunned them in the 39th minute when he produced a goal out of nowhere, striking from distance when afforded so much space and time that he was almost encouraged to shoot by theVillarreal defence.

Pau Torres, though, put Villarreal back in front in first half stoppage time with an excellent header from at a corner to give the Yellow Submarine the half time lead.

In the second half, Sevilla were much better and they peppered Sergio Asenjo's goal with shots.

The goalkeeper made two stunning reaction saves from Joan Jordan and Luuk de Jong, but sandwiched in between those parries was a beautiful Munir El Haddadithat did find the bottom corner in the 63rd minute.

There were to be no more goals, with the big story of the closing stages that ofBruno Soriano's return from injury, as he was substituted on three years, one month and one day after his last appearance.

The captain was able to celebrate his return from injury with a point that

keepsVillarreal unbeaten since the season's restart
